Taggart Tutors knows that all learners are people - not ‘students’ or ‘pupils’, but people. Different people have different needs. We provide a range of tuition services to respond to individual learning needs in both content knowledge & understanding, and in confidence & self-belief. We personalise learning.
At Taggart Tutors, our pricing reflects the high quality of our services, our desire to provide accessible support to as many learners as possible, and our commitment to transparency. All of our tuition types offer a ‘Flexible Fortnights’ or ‘Termly Value’ option.
LEARNING NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Our Learning Needs Assessment is the first step of the process. Here, Taggart Tutors determines the most effective type of tuition to both address content knowledge and to meet emotional-behavioural learning needs*.
At a Learning Needs Assessment, your learner experiences a 60 minute session with John Taggart where he will assess their Australian Curriculum-aligned understanding and their emotional responses to the learning process with warm and nurturing support. John analyses a learner's holistic needs to create a learning program precisely tailored to meet these needs from our range of tuition services. Following the assessment, parents or carers discuss the findings in-depth with John for up to an hour to ensure a thorough understanding of their learner's needs, and how a learner's success is ensured by our recommended tuition services.
The 90-minute assessment carries a one-off rate of $59.95.
COMPUTER-BASED TUITION
Our computer-based learning programs provide individually customised mathematics and/or spelling content for every learner. Our tuition delivers Australian Curriculum-aligned concepts to address both learner’s prerequisite gaps by isolating and targeting their personal understanding, and to meet their current expectation. Our Education and Learning Facilitators provide constant one-to-one tutor support throughout the sessions to develop confidence and ensure thorough understanding. Feedback is provided by email and via our carer portal at the end of every session.
Flexible Fortnights - $85 per 90-minute session (paid fortnightly)
Termly Value - $800 per school term (10 sessions)
WORKSHOP TUITION
Our workshop tuition delivers carefully structured 10-week courses which provide learners with a single term of Australian Curriculum aligned content in English and writing concepts, as well as in study and life skills, and in building confidence by managing their relationship with learning. Feedback is provided by email and via our carer portal at the end of every session.

- Early Years Development & School Readiness
- Mid-Late Primary Writing
- High School Transitioning (Taggart Tutors' flagship program)
- Growth Mindset around Learning (following the precepts of the Big Life Journal)
- Growth Mindset for Teens (following the precepts of the Big Life Journal)
Flexible Fortnights - $90 per 90-minute session (paid fortnightly)
Termly Value - $850 per school term (10 sessions)
HOLIDAY TUITION
All of our computer-based tuition and workshop tuition is periodically delivered throughout the school holiday periods based on the academic calendar.
ONE-TO-ONE TUITION
Our one-to-one tuition provides exclusive support with an experienced one-to-one tutor. We match learners with specialist tutors based on personality, skill-set and content need identified at the Learning Needs Assessment. Feedback is provided by email and via our carer portal at the end of every session.
Prep-Year 6:
Flexible Fortnights - $120* per 90-minute session (paid fortnightly)
Termly Value - $1,150 per school term (10 sessions)
Years 10-12:
Flexible Fortnights - $150* per 2-hour session (paid fortnightly)
Termly Value - $1,450 per school term (10 sessions)
*John T. and Nick K. are very frequently fully booked with students. It may not be possible to secure tuition directly with them. All tuition secured with John T. and Nick K. will incur and additional fee of $10.00 per session.
